| Outstanding Women Who Have Contributed to the Rich History of WNY Automobiles and Transportation Special Guest, Ms. Emily Anderson of Seattle, WA. Emily recently drove a 1909 Maxwell from NYC to San Francisco commemorating the 100th anniversary of Alice Ramsey’s transcontinental trip. See a short film of her journey & learn about our local honorees.
Cocktails were served with food stations followed by a presentation featuring Emily Anderson's 2009 reenactment of Alice Ramsey's 1909 drive across the country. Alice was the first woman to drive from New York to San Francisco. Items offered at a live auction included a 14’ X 48’ Billboard on the NYS 190 for one month; helicopter ride over Buffalo & Niagara Falls-20 Minutes for two people; a Pierce-Arrow for display at your Home/Event, etc.; Buffalo Sabres Tickets; Saxman Slim for weddings, parties, corporate events, - Gift Certificate for a two hour cocktail party; Arrowhead Spring Vineyards and winery tour for up to 12 people; AAA Four Diamond Mirbeau Inn & Spa in Skaneateles New York. Proceeds will benefit the National Women's Transportation Hall of Fame, building of the Frank Lloyd Wright Filling Station & Museum expansion. |
