The original Italian Zust automobile that finished the race in 1908 was unveiled at the museum on Wednesday, May 14. This was the first time the Zust has been seen in public in almost 100 years! Excerpts from the Italian team's own journal depicting the journey from the first leg of th race from New York City to Buffalo. Some photos of the evening are below:

Guests at the Italian Night fundraiser Wednesday evening at the Buffalo Transportation Pierce-Arrow Museum admire the fully restored 1906 Zust, Italy's entry in the 1908 Great Race from New York to Paris. The Italians finished third after being penalized for missing a layover in Buffalo.
